The Brief
Working alongside Jo Scott Designs, we were tasked with transforming an integrated tandem garage into a space that would be both practical and enjoyable to use.
The homeowners wanted more than just somewhere to park their cars. The garage needed to function as a place to work on a project car with their son, while maintaining a clean, sophisticated aesthetic that complemented the rest of the property.
Inspired by ideas gathered on Pinterest, our role was to turn the client's vision into a functional and cohesive reality.
The Challenge
The garage presented several design challenges. As well as accommodating two vehicles, the space housed the property's boiler, water cylinder and home data centre, all of which needed to be carefully concealed without compromising accessibility.
Maximising usable space around the cars was essential, while ensuring the finished garage felt welcoming, organised and visually seamless.
The Design
To enhance both practicality and appearance, we installed a wide ribbed insulated garage door with a side-mounted motor, colour matched to the home's front door for a cohesive external finish.
Inside, high-gloss wall panelling, layered sensor-controlled lighting and carefully concealed pipework and cabling create a clean, uncluttered environment.
The design also incorporates dedicated shelving for outdoor cushions and a flexible workshop area, allowing the family to enjoy hands-on projects together. Front and rear doors were designed to blend discreetly into the overall aesthetic, maintaining the garage's sleek appearance.
To complete the transformation, we installed our MMA resin flooring system in Snowstorm, providing a durable, low-maintenance finish that elevates the entire space.
The Result
The finished garage is much more than a place to store cars.
By combining premium materials, intelligent storage and thoughtful design, the space has become a welcoming extension of the home where the family can spend time together, work on projects and enjoy their vehicles.
